Anyone doing anything fun or out of the oridanary in Colorado Springs? I have been tossing up a few ideas, but I am debating on whether it is worth dealing with the huge crowds.

Yeah, staying home away from the crowds and drunkasses (drivers)! Good Luck!!

Partay at John's? Sipping some of that whiskey of his.
Ha, good one. Truth be told, I am sort of homeless moving out of my place thursday and bumming at a good-hearted family place in the country until: a) I leave for the Dominican Republic for winter work o/a the 5thish or b) I get final pissed at them, find a new place, and real work......
I will have some good whiskey though!
Happy New Year
John
Homeless = You don't have anything better to do than to come out with Ninja2 and I! LOL!
Dominican Republic for "winter work." Nice touch. I will have to use that line the next time I am out on the town. "I'm here for winter work."

Let me know if you guys are doing something. Mrs. Clovis and I would love to get out for New Years.
"If not us, who? If not now, when?"
And if you do imbibe in the COS area, McDivitt Law Firm is providing free cab rides home through Yellow Cab (719-777-7777) on New Year's Eve between 10PM Dec 31st and 4AM Jan 1.
More info.

I like mountains because they make me feel small.
Thanks, Sarah. That is great to know. I believe the major clubs on Tejon street offer some sort of DD service as well. Ask when you get there, as I could imagine the McDivitt/Yellow Cab service could get too busy.
There is also some sort of service offered by private volunteers where they pick you up in their car and take you home. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the organization nor do I have their phone number. If anyone happens to have it, it would be great if you could post it.
You folks have fun - I will be celebrating this one in Washington
Imma girl....so what! What's your next question?
I believe you're thinking of Designated Driver of Colorado Springs. However, for this New Year's Eve, they are providing their service to Ft Carson personnel ONLY. So if you live on base, the number is 719-650-3450.
They will resume normal operations to everybody sometime in January.
