    Senior Systems Administrator


    Provided 3rd tier technical support for all production and QA platforms, including clustered and load balanced directory services, Exchange systems, SQL systems and network systems.
    Planned, maintained, troubleshot, implemented new servers, SANs, virtual environments, clustering, and load balancing solutions for our AllScripts production and QA environments.
    Was handed multiple projects with new technologies without training and had to self train to become advanced enough to support tier 3 issues, but also then train tier 1, 2 staff on the new technologies.
    Created scripts that help cut employee cycles in almost every aspect of daily job duties.

    Responsibilities include budget planning, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of servers, directory services, Exchange systems, SQL systems and network systems.

    That sucks, sorry to hear!

    I am with Nick on CU. I think all the new IT positions are now professional exempt, so you don't get PERA. Either way it is a good place to work.

    Hey, that's my company. Exelis was part of ITT Industries' Defense sector, but now they are spinning it off as its own thing.

    I didn't post the link, but yes, we are in Colo Spgs. As far as I know, we have 2 buildings on opposite ends of town, where I'm based out of the one on the NW. However, my actual work location is on an AFB, so if you become Exelis or any other DoD contractor, you may be working off-site, too.
