    Competitive Arm Wrestling

    Hey All,

Anybody in the South-Central have experience with arm wrestling competitions or even train for it? I am looking to broaden my horizons and it looks like a fun activity.

Good luck with your elbows! Seems to tear them up and tendons in the hand/arms. Sorry that is all I have to offer...love arm wrestling, but these issue messed it up for me.

I have to agree with Bulldog about the elbows. I used to do it a lot and was fairly good (even did one pro comp and quickly learned the difference between amateur and pro) One time I had a real good battle going with a friend and felt something give in my elbow. It was not anything major, it didn't really hurt at the time and I even still won the match but it took several months before I could stop being careful how I used my arm

I was wondering how long it would be till that video got posted! Here is another that was aired on Tosh.O; of women!!! http://www.boredville.com/34716/Girls-Arm-Wrestling-Arm-Break-Video

I do miss the days of arm wrestling though. It was fun to be a “small” guy and go against these heavier guys and beat them because I spent years in the gym rather than having big arms from being fat! I love how people gauge strength on how big someone looks, but it is not always about that. Plus arm wrestling is not all about strength and a lot to do with technique. But yeah, too many times doing it made me realize the strain was not worth it. Would be interesting to do it professionally, but those guys are animals from the comps I have seen and no way I could compete!

Same for me and I whooped everyones ass! Well not everyone but I did some damage to the guys that weighed 50lbs more than me

One of my first jobs was working in the Dairy department at a small mom and pop grocery store. My boss was a pro arm wrestler. Dude would carry around a steel pole that was 4 1/2 ft long and probably 1 1/2 in diameter. He would spend the day working with one hand and doing forearm lifts with the other, worked both arms throughout the day. Guy was jjjjacked.

Showed me the ropes, from that point on I was looking for anyone that wanted to go.

When I broke my buddies arm we were on a pool table, on the corner. Once I got my shoulder into it and started to pull... SNAP! He was screaming. It was a mess.

Oh SNAP! Man, you could hear that one.

Friggin' OUCH! I saw a guy on the "World's Stongest Man" contest that broke his pretty badly.
