Huge win for gun rights. Very happy to see this outcome as I've been following it for quite some time now.

    that's SWEET!

cuz legal law abiding people cause soooo many problems with guns.

I wonder how much that lawsuit cost the students?

I'm glad you can tell who's not going to break the law, but I can't nor can anyone else that I'm aware of. Everyone's a legal law abiding citizen, until we choose not to be. Just like the VT shooting, he never did anything wrong, then he killed a bunch of people.

and I'll use the same rebuttal us pro self protection folks always use....

A law forbidding guns doesn't stop a murderer from bringing a gun and killing people. You have a false sense of security.

I guess I should go murder somewhere else cuz there's a law that says I can't bring my gun here....

Thats not really the idea behind a law like this. Instead, you can try to go on a shooting spree here, however you will be faced with CCW holders who are also carrying, instead of just a bunch of unprotected civilians.

If I had been involved in Columbine or Vermont, I would have much rather had a gun on me to protect myself instead of being unarmed.

When they are arguing in class rooms, at a university yes it does. Never know when their small mind is going to just get mad and blow you away.

Can't trust people that feel the need to mask their insecurity with a gun.

Although this is kind of besides the point, keep in mind that on the state level, the CCW legislation specifically prohibits carry in K-12 schools, among other locations.

Thankfully this brave group of students saw the case all the way through appeals and into a Supreme Court judgement and challenged CU's unconstitutional ban. If I had a CCW, I would start carrying to campus (UCD) today. Since it is such a large campus, I feel I need to be able to defend myself before a small and lightly armed campus police force will be able to respond should any kind of incident happen.

Not your right to not trust them and pass laws out of that distrust.

How many CCW carriers do you know?

I don't fear the gun, just the insecure person that has one on them all the time.

I own guns, for the record, yet I don't feel the need to be packing heat at school.

people who choose to carry a gun are small minded and could blow their top at any time? Can't be trusted to have a disagreement and not kill you on the spot?

I'm not sure where you are going with this, but feel free to look up the statistics regarding CCW permit holders and ANY kind of crime statistic, including violent and aggravated crimes. Likewise, campuses which allow lawful carry of licensed CCW's have a MUCH lower crime rate than the comparative campus with a ban on any CCW's.

At least do some research into the topic before making judgements.

Of course it's going to be a lower crime rate.... They aren't a criminal yet, thus they aren't going to be a repeat offender yet.

That they have a crime rate at all should bother you.

Since I'm afraid and insecure, you won't mind if I use you as a human shield next time there is a mass shooting? I much prefer to return fire from a point of cover and you would help provide that.

It's not your right to carry a gun concealed around with you, it's a privilege. To own a gun and open carry a gun you might have some ground stand on.
