However if they showed up to play Denver and all of their line men had painted cross hairs with the number 18 inside their visors, I would bet Denver wouldn't get a good return on their 90 mil...
We should just give the 49ers Tebow... A peace offering to not hurt Manning
cya tebow... to think that it would have been better to spend the money on receivers and keep a qb that cant through to them is silly! now we can though the ball to anyone with two hands and ten fingers. maybe tebow can stay and learn something from a real qb.
go broncos!
Manning plays for the Broncos. Today is a good day.

I wish Tebow the best of luck in his future. I know there are a lot of disappointed Tebow fans out there hoping for another 8-8 season, but have hope, Tebow will get traded and play for another team. Maybe he'll do great, maybe he won't, but let's not transfer your your disappointment of losing Tebow to anger at signing a hall of fame quarterback for 5 years. You guys can all keep your #1 selling Tebow Jerseys and wear them with pride. The kid is a class act and performed extremely well off the field under the pressure of the national spotlight. Meanwhile, we just signed one of the best QBs of all time to the Broncos! I mean, c'mon, how could you be talking trash about this guy?!?

I'm not happy with the decision. Too much money for too little of a return, imo. Manning is great, don't get me wrong. But if the Colts let him go, that says something.
I'll always be a Tebow fan, no matter where he lands. I was excited to see what he learned in the off season, sigh.

Hard to find that stat but it looks like there were 28 dropped passes including the games Tebow didn't start. I'm not going to track down those numbers so let's play this game as if he started all the games. Tebow was 126/271 for 47.3%. Add those 28 passes and his stats change to 154/271 for 56.8%. But start factoring in the what if's for dropped passes on other teams. GB had 32 dropped passes. Give those back. NYG had 30 drops. Gotta give those back too.
Stats are fun.

... and so goes my brief infatuation with watching Broncos football.
Anyway, I may not tune into the games this coming season, but I'll keep tabs on how the Broncos do. No matter what anybody has to say about anything, Tim Tebow effectively set a pretty high bar for Manning to replicate or exceed. Denver "fans" are notoriously unforgiving, so we'll see how it goes...

I think Manning set his own bar to replicate or exceed. He took a team that was 3-13 in 1998 and set the following team records:
1999 -- 13-3 (AFC East champs)
2000 -- 13-3 (AFC East champs)
2001 -- 6-10
2002 -- 10-6 (wildcard)
2003 -- 12-4 (AFC South champs)
2004 -- 12-4 (AFC South champs)
2005 -- 14-2 (AFC South champs)
2006 -- 12-4 (Superbowl champs)
2007 -- 13-3 (AFC South champs)
2008 -- 12-4 (wildcard)
2009 -- 14-2 (Superbowl champs)
2010 -- 10-6 (AFC South champs)
That's impressive.

I don't hate Manning, he is a great QB and we'll see what he cooks up.
