    Gun stuff - cleaning gear

I know we have quite a few shooters here. I broke 2 thin aluminium cleaning rods on my .308 the other night and am NOT impressed with either Winchester or Hoppe's 9 bore brushes. I'm looking for recommendations for slightly higher grade cleaning gear.... I was made aware of Otis but don't like the fact that most everything works off of a pull cable.... Even if I get their brushes and what not, I'm still going to need a solid cleaning rod. That's right, a ROD, a freakin ROD. I want to PUSH the patches through. I like pushing...

Alright, that joke's dead... So, which products do you use, and have you found a proper, thick, resilient and structurally sound brass ROD? Local purchase is preferable to online...

Midway USA has a proprietary or store brand bore brush with the looped end, bronze core, which I have been pleased with.

+1 to the Dewey rods. I have some for what, 20+ years now that work as good as the day I bought them.

Thanks for the input guys! I found some rods that will work at Jax (they just got some new inventory in).
