    Diesel Bike

    I didn't know where else to put this, but since it technically is a story about bike tech, I decided to post it here.

    Looks like someone made a diesel motorcycle.

    Looks like we don't have any Marine scouts/mechanics here. They'd know about this little gem.

    The Marines have commissioned/bought a bunch of diesel KLR650 conversions that run on JP8.
    Have owned: '01 Volusia
    Currently own: '05 Z750S

    Funny to see this, latest issue of Motorcycle Consumer News had a blurb on this German production machine: http://www.bikez.com/motorcycles/nea...iesel_2012.php

    112 hp @ 4200 rpm, 158 lb-ft torque @ 2600 rpm, turbo, Aprilia 6-speed transmission, not bad!

    On second glance, I now notice the price: $129,000 US yikes!
