I had a scorpion exo-700 that saved my head once, great little helmet.

I have the white exo-1000 now, great helmet, but the shell seems huge.

My buddy just got an AGV GP-Tech, it fit me perfectly and was wicked comfy. I think that will be my next helmet.

+ another on the EXO700. Continues to be my helmet of choice. I was not a fan of the EXO1000. That flip down visor vibrated just enough to be a destraction.

On a side note; It's fairly disappointing to see how many take advantange of our local shops. I am sure all of you at least had the decency to to give them an opportunity to price match, given that they have already invested their time in you.

Does anyone else with a EXO700 find that the seal around the shield isn't great? It just seems overy windy and loud even with all the vents closed.

Oh, I did. I bought a bike from there once as well, but they wouldn't come close to what I got it for online, and I even came back twice before I ordered it.

Not sure if serious because of the eyeroll, but I've given RMCP the opportunity to price match in the past and been told they won't budge on their price. I've actually had one of their employees tell me they don't even buy very much at the store because they can still get something cheaper online.

    Re: 2012 Helmet Thread

To avoid starting another topic...does anyone know anything about Nexx helmets? I looked around online and it seems like 303cycle is the only one who carries them in our area. I'm in the market for a new lid and was looking at the Shoei RF1100, but the Nexx XR1R looks pretty dang sweet...anyone have experience/opinions?

I have been wearing Shoei helmets for years and love them. Comfortable, light and Quite. I am ready for a new one though and am considering the ICON Carbon Air Frame. Has anybody on here tried the airframe? I love the look and the liner looks sweet.

I've worn an airframe for a few years now. I personally don't like it. It's noisy and i find that it smashes against my face at high speed. (The helmet fits my head tight) But it still moves against my face on the highway.

Hmmm i have heard that they were a little noisy. That is enough to change my mind about getting one. Thanks!

Agree, I have matte black RF-1100. Great fit and low wind noise. One small issue is the screen can fog up. My Scorpion face shield doesn't have this issue.

I had that issue as well, the supplied chin and nose guards all but took care of it once I put them in though. That, and I've heard of people applying RainX and the like for car windshields with much success.
