    Re: Wheelie

I did my first ever standup on my BMW some 2-3 weeks after I got it. I never really wheelied any other bike before, definitely not my Aprilia RSV, but this BMW just wheelies everywhere and I figured I better just get used to it. Even with the wheelie control, if I'm on the throttle from a start I'll get 4 wheelies in first, 3 in second, and by them I'm going way to fast to be legal so I usually slow down...

Anyway, I turned the TC off, squeezed a little clutch, grabbed a little throttle, in 2nd gear at like 50-55 MPH and BAM, that bitch was STRAIGHT up in the air, lol. Haven't tried it since, but I sneeze while holding the throttle on my bike and the front wheel comes up. I have no idea how these things are even somewhat street legal...

Damn, imagine it would only be nuttier at sea-level. You're down at least 30-40 HP up here from factory. Looks like the wheelie control is almost mandatory on that bike, especially with the stock swingarm.
