As far as power vs clutch. I always found that stand up power wheelies were super easy and controllable. I can power wheelie a bone stock CBR F4i in 4th gear on the freeway. It's all about the technique.
Yea i dont think i am ever going to try and get to the "balance point" with my wheelies im happy with getting the front a few feet off the ground and holding it for a little bit.

I liked pulling wheelies on my dirt bike since I didn't care if I dumped it and dropping the nose too hard won't blow out the fork seals.

Dropping my sportbike with all its expensive plastics isn't something I want to try.

Want to bet on this? I know because I was involved when he had to pay this guy back for the damage. He was use to riding a Vtwin SV650 so the inline was a bit different than what he was use to. Hoopty would never loop a wheelie...he use to go past the balance point and pull it back just for fun!

Don't remember the guy other than he was very short...like 5 feet tall.

I would go play on one wheel! Been a looong ass time since I have had the legs over the front end while doing a wheelie...

    Is there any "spots" anymore?

I see a wrecked bike in Grims future...especially if Ezzzy1 can do high chair wheelies!

I wonder if I even have the balls to do that shit anymore.

Standing on the seat, Rodeo wheelies, grabbing the front brake at 75....

Getting a wheelie with that set up should have been effortless!

I can't find anything on the actual incident, so I may be wrong but that's how I remember it.

You remember wrong old man! Just think of it this way, who would teach a begginer to wheelie from a start (dead stop)? Hoopty taught me and we started with wheelies when we were already moving. I'd think a wheelie from a start would be harder.

I also remember he wanted to use my F4I to pracitice starts but I could not make it that day. Hoopty did a few wheelie school on CSC though.

Wheelies from a stop are easier, if you have brake control.

I'll back this up. He was practicing starts for the race season (on someone's bike) since he just had the SV. Soooooo.... suck it Kyle!!

BTW, that was the first day I met Loopty..... I mean Poopty.... I mean Hoopty, Barn and Big-J.

Will is rebuilding the top end of his new ktm after shoving the valves into the piston on a likely timing chain slip. After I'm done with school on Thursday I'll be doing some coors lot practice sessions in the coming weeks.

He said he was planning on getting sumo wheels soon too.
