    My plugs keep dying

I have a 1999 CR 250 and latley it has been going through spark plugs (BR8EG) like crazy. They arn't fouled, they are new plugs and a ride or 2 later they die on me. I completly clean them up in gas and scrap all the carbon off of them but when I try to run my bike with them it won't run. Instant solution I put a new 6 dollar plug in and it runs flawless... Anyone have any ideas why my spark plugs keep dying?

not sure about the NGKs but a Bosch engineer a few years ago told me that once a plug has been fuel- fouled it is useless. Once the fuel soaks into the ceramic it will never fire correctly again. I am thinking washing them in fuel would do the same thing. I know it doesnt help the initial problem, but maybe if you have another method of cleaning them you can get them to last a bit longer.
