More gas on the TSA fire...

Thought I'd fan the flames a bit...

95-year-old Air Force vet loses $300 during TSA pat-down

Omer Petti, a 95-year-old retired Air Force major, said he expected to set off metal detectors at San Diego International Airport. He and his 85-year-old travel companion have two replaced knees, a replaced hip and a pair of wheelchairs between them. What they didn't anticipate was being subjected to full-on "humiliating" TSA private-room pat-downs. "Do I look like a terrorist?" he asked.
Worst of all, the TSA agent made Petti empty his pockets, including a money-clipped $300, which had disappeared from the screening area by the time he was released. Petti has filed police reports and TSA paperwork but hasn't gotten any satisfactory answers -- or his money. "I think I was scammed," he said.

Re: More gas on the TSA fire...

I travel alot for my work and TSA is a piece of work...
I just got back from a trip and was flying through the St Paul/Minneapolis airport. I have my military ID and military travel orders and I get the random search...TSA tells me to take everything out of my pockets (to include non metal items)...I have a pocket full of cash that I lose line of sight with (so some jackass TSA can stealtoo). I get the full scan then swab for explosives...after the hassle I'm told I need to hurry up and move on(I had 3 bins of stuff and laptop...).
I get the hightened security, but im military with ID and orders(2 tours to Iraq also) and I get the full monty.....I'm half tempted to travel in uniform next time just to see what these jokers do to me next.

TSA is a bunch of Army and Police rejects which equals massive FAIL....
    Im done ranting now!

^^^ Got to agree, they really need to use some common sense. Profiling works, they should use it. Oh wait then people get on them for profiling...LOL

Don't sweat it my father got the "grab your balls routine" and he is a US Diplomat...last I looked no US Soldier or Diplomat took down a plane.
