    '07-'08 Yamaha R1: Pricing?

What is a fair price range for this generation of R1? Consider it <5k miles, exc./mint condition, bone stock Colorado bike, no known accidents, no problems with anything mechanical, brakes, tires, body/paint, 1 or 2 owner max, etc.

KBB says mid-$7k's but doesn't factor in mileage.

'94 Supra Turbo 6spd. (black), BUILT motor/head, CompTurbo CT43-xx, '69 Dodge Coronet SuperBee tribute, 440/520 SixPack stroker, auto.

Bike values never factor in mileage--it's considered part of its condition.

Some 07 Yamaha R1's had a LAG (ECU) issue, 2008's were not affected. I believe a Yamaha recall.

What does that have to do with what he asked?

True, I thought may have been asking for known issues with 07-08 year models as well as pricing...

I'd say $7k is a fair price, maybe a little lower if you find a good deal. Tylar got his '08 for about that 2 years ago. Bone stock, still had the original tires on the thing.

Yeah, April of 2010 i got my '08 with 835 miles on it for just over 7. Depends on the seller...mine had been on the market for quite some time.

    Thanks everyone, appreciate the info!

There's a couple good ones right now. We'll see how 'flexible' they are. Unfortunately the market in Colorado in Spring means I might have to also be flexible to get a mint one in my criteria, before too many more nice weekends pass.

I seriously hit Craigs at least 4 times a day for two+ months now.

I do some pretty extensive searching. I've seen some decent deals on what I'm looking for (VFR) but they're all out of state.

Heh. I "might" pay $12k for a BRAND NEW one. You can get a NEW CBR1k for that at Fay.

Jmetz: Yeah, I decided it was too much of a pain to do the whole trailer thing and driving both ways. I've actually bought four trucks from out of state, a couple from the NorthEast, NY & Mass., flew out and drove them back. With a bike though, it would be too far of a drive, imo. Well, maybe if it was a big touring or Harley, lol. That hasn't stopped me from looking in bordering states though, if something amazing comes up.

Yeah I found a nice deal out by The Dragon. Tempting but too much for gas. I need a Geo Metro and a trailer.

Maybe if you and I find a deal in the same place at the same time..

What's your short-list of "wanted bikes"? I'll PM you if I come across anything.

Saw this today, seems like a decent deal for a nice low-miles Duc 1098, if anyone's looking. Beautiful bike, but not for me:

A fellow black Supra owner. No, but I just had lunch with him during our CRN meet last weekend in Castle Rock. I forgot his name, sorry, but his car is newly built, wicked too. Btw, I'm Indian, not whitey, lol. Don't know enough of you local yokels in person, to brave posting a picture just yet.

Is Shane "Sweck" with a burgandy R1 on CSC? That's his roommate.

Gotcha. I just met him at the car show on Sunday, it just clicked that you both had a sexy Supra that makes my pants tight.

Indian, like India, or Indian like Native American?
