    Ducati/Rossi - Time for a Divorce?

    OUCH...

"Ducati didn't follow the direction that I indicated, but I'm not an engineer and I can't solve every problem."

"I have no confidence, and I can't even get ahead of Hayden, who gave everything he had to finish 28 seconds behind the leader."

"The problems with the bike haven't changed, and neither have my requests. It's unrideable, and it doesn't make much difference what track we are on. ... These aren't problems you can solve with setup alone."

Time to resurrect the old non-CF chassis and stuff the new bits into it.

More rumors of him dabbling in WSBK this season. Would be fun to see him mixing it up with Biaggi again!

    Re: Ducati/Rossi - Time for a Divorce?

After watching the Qatar race, my advice to Rossi would be like I've said before, ride that Ducati right into a dumpster where it belongs. They obviously didn't improve much over the Winter. The initial reports and test times looked promising however, the race in Qatar did not. Would have been nice to see Rossi succeed on the Ducati. Looks like another sh*t year of Rossi not doing well.

Ducati = GP failure... Really sucks for the doc for sure, hopefully Ducati will pull something together and get Rossi back at the podium where he belongs.

My fault for assuming, just had been hearing of the issues Ducati has been having lately quite often. Well whatever the issue may be, hope they resolve it.

I agree, I think that the bikes setup and Rossi's riding style are not a good match. he may be faster on another bike and someone else may be able to ride it.

Wow.....and here I was hoping to see Rossi win a title on the Duc.....before moving on to F1.

I don't think he should give up yet, but that should be a pretty stern warning to Ducati.

I think that is the answer, the best evidence is Hayden's finishes only dropped a place or two from 2010 to 2011 so there is no way the bike got a lot worse over those 2 years.

His whinging sounds like Biaggi in 2003 in his commentary on the Yamaha prior to Rossi switching teams with Biaggi.

Im not a big Honda fan, but, sometimes the truth must be told. He made the rest of the field look like amateurs when he rode red.

Switch to Honda next season, win the Championship, and retire to WSBK where he can can beat on Biaggi for a few years.

IF Honda would take him back. My impression was that he burned that bridge...

And with Pedrosa and Stoner coming in 2 & 3, Ducati's keeping Hayden and Vale out of contention, not sure they need him back.

I don't think Rossi would ever do WSB. I think he'd see it as the place MotoGP losers go. I think he'd instead go to F1 with Ferrari, or do World Rally.
