    Question difficulty stealing youtube videos

Am trying to snag some youtube videos to my own PC in MOV, AVI, etc format for editing on my own.

Stuff like old cartoon clips etc. Tried several plug ins and other free bullshit and the best I've been able to get is the audio.

Running Win7 and Firefox, editing in Win Movie Maker.

anyone have a process that works?

    Thanks

YouTube Downloader, lets you snag movies and convert to many different formats.

got it. Found a different download site that worked. Took a little poking around to realize I had to change the format after the download.

You can just install Real Player and it comes with a plugin (pops up on top of vid when mouse over) that will allow you to download any flash video directly from the source website while you're watching it.

+1, I use the Real Player downloader, works great. Just pick which resolution (720p, etc.) on the video, then click on the Real popup to download that version. www.Real.com
