    Thanks SuperTune

Ok, so maybe I didn't need to have them lube the Zed's ignition switch. Maybe I coulda done that. But, I did do that. I used various types of oil to try and get the switch to move in the right direction, so I could get my key out, but nothing I did worked. Of course, the mechanic got it to work for him. He was just a tad more stubborn than I am, I guess.

But, thanks SuperTune for seeing me as late as it was and taking care of me on the spot. I do appreciate the help...oh and the chain tightening and lubing, too.

My next stop will more than likely be Steels for a used ignition switch.

And thanks, Salsa for the recommendation.

Hmmm...what's up with them? I'm not up on the latest stuff. I only mention them because of the mechanic's recommendation. It's a difference between $230 for brand new ignition and maybe around $75 for one from Steels.

I would like to know if I'm being pointed in the wrong direction, so please let me know.

I bought a Part for 03 SV 650 Making it VERY VERY CLEAR it was for an 03 and only an 03 part would fit.. Guy said O we know, we are all mechanics here and 03 is diff from 02 and 04+ so don't worry we got an 03 on the lot with your part on it. Come down and get it.. I get down there buy the part drive home.. its off an 05 it won't fit.. So I call Steels, guy says to bad all sales are final, I should have known it was the wrong part just by looking at it so its my fault.. If I got a problem with it go F my self.

So I called my Credit card co and contested the Charge, My credit card co tells me they have the highest number of Contested charges of any one they have ever seen minus a porn site.

    F STEELS!

My turn, I had a Kawasaki Vulcan a few years back and needed a new/used brake reservoir so I call steels up they say "yup we've got it come on down and get it" I get there and much like all of there used parts they just spit out some bullshit number to charge you for it. He says $100 I say I can get one on eBay a lot cheaper than that so he says $50 I wanted to get the bike back together so I could ride so say whatever pay $50 and go back to my shop.

The gasket on the top of the reservoir to seal the lid is hard and cracked, and the o-ring for the sight glass is as well so the reservoir wouldn't hold fluid for shit and wouldnt seal properly. I had to hunt down an o-ring for the sight glass and silicone the lid metal to metal.

Glad they got you taken care of...
Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

    Thanks again, Salsa.

Looks like I will not be going to Steels. Wow, what a way to do business. Someone needs to call 9WantsToKnow.

i did buy from their ebay store once without a problem. I was pleased that I didn't have to go in to the store and be ridiculed.
