CSC trackday....what do you want out of it?????

Well since I'm kind of heading up the instruction part of the school (just remember you get what you pay for) I would like to know what everyone wants out of this.

With the group of instructors I don't see a problem with as much or in depth instruction you may want.

If you want to just ride put as many miles on the scoot as possible.

Just want to get a feel for where I may ask the other instuctors to help. This is going to be a great time and everyone should get as much track time as they want or need. Plus if you are new to the track I want to make sure you are comfortable and don't feel you are in peoples way. (this is the #1 thing I hear from track nOObs)

Re: CSC trackday....what do you want out of it?????

I'm looking to enjoy a full day on the track maximizing track time if possible. I also want to start sorting out the RS 125 I just picked up and learning how to ride a bike that has very little torque by carrying more corner speed.

For instruction I'll be looking for tips on selecting braking markers, shift points and better lines through some of the corners.

As a question, what direction are we planning on running?

    Yeah, what he said too

I also hope to get more comfortable with my lean angle in the right handers. I'm VERY comfortable leaning left but I'm not even close to being as comfortable on the right

I don't expect any super in-depth technical instruction. It's labeled as a CSC Trackday and not The CSC Performance Riding School... so I am expecting to get what I paid for ($50.00). And what is that...?

A full day of riding the track with friends in a relaxed setting - FUN, SUN, FRIENDS... and hey HOW ABOUT AN AFTER-RIDE BBQ??

    See you all there!!

I would like to learn the proper lines for the different corner types, entry speed, how to work towards slipping my tires on the turns as I've heard they do, etc.

Also, being a total noob and seeing as I'll be riding with total noobs, I would like to see following distances and no passing rules enforced in the corners and braking areas during our track time. I know as an amateur, I make a lot of mistakes. I don't want to lose my bike and I don't want anyone else to lose theirs.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

As a n00b that has never been on the track - I expect to leave there capable of winning any AMA Superbike race in the country.

    How's that for expectations!

Seriously, My main goal is to learn how to better pick corner lines, and carry more speed through turns (anyone can go fast in a straight line, right).

I was on the track once years and years ago. I used to be extremely confident on my bike, knew that if someone else could do something than I could too. Now, with baby and hardly ever getting out on my bike, I have lost a lot of my faith in myself and my abilities. I am also interested in looking into racing, but am usure whether I even have half the skill it would take to do such a thing. I am basically looking to have a good time, and get back some of my confidence and faith in myself that I have lost.

You shouldn't have too much trouble on this day, I'll have the RC51 (with the God awful stock suspension) and the Buell on street tires so I would say you have a pretty good chance of winning practice.
