From Broken ART Can to Shorty...

Took the ART carbon fiber can that was on my 929 when I wrecked at Pueblo (which had a nice crack ~1/3 the way up the can) and made a shorty out of it.

Next to the full size Akra that was on it:

    On the bike:

    On bike compared to Akra:

Basically, I cut down the outer shell, cut down the inner baffles to match, and then trimmed the packing to match. Re-reviting was a pain in the dick, as always. Couldn't rev it too high tonight, but it did sound pretty good. Will shake it down in the AM.

Yeah, rear sets will powder black soon.

It didn't seem much louder, just a touch deeper in tone.

Do you think the back pressure has changed? I know some people who have done this and it created some flat spots in the RPM's.

FYI- I say that you leave both of them on. That way you'll be 2x as bad-ass. Then strap your helmet to the other side when riding.

Haven't had a chance to actually load the engine as I'm in the middle of a streetfighter conversion, but will definitely report back on any negative side affects.

at both. That would just look silly.

Real men have dual exhaust. See avatar? Case in point. It also is the only measure of how fast your bike is. And clearly mine's at least 4 times as fast.
