    Kickstand pad

Anybody know where I can get a kickstand pad? I just noticed the other day that my bike sunk like 1.5" into the asphalt while I was at work because of this stupid hot weather. I figured Fay Meyers would have em, but they don't anymore I guess. I'm currently using a pop can, but that even leaves marks and sinks a bit.

This is what I'm talking about. I'd just rather get one locally so I don't have to wait.

check w/ some of the local dealers... They may have some as promotional items.

Or... just go to Lowes and grab a piece of scrap wood out of the garbage. A small piece of pressure treated plywood would work great. Ask first, if need be throw them a buck, but most of the time, they'll give it to you since they're going to throw it away anyways... just make sure it's a tight grain.

You can also use a metal junction box cover from Lowe's. Thin metal, little lighter/smaller than plywood.

+1 on a junction box cover; the hole for the screw can be used to attach a tether so you don't have to bend over to pick it up prior to riding away.
