    *** STOLEN TRIUMPH ***

    FOUND

2008 Triumph Daytona, white. My buddy bought it Saturday night, it was stolen less than 24 hours after purchase. If anyone has any info, please let me know. Stolen in Boulder, near Baseline and 36.

This bike was repainted in the past. There are a few areas where you can see the original color showing through.

I'm not sure. He has full coverage on his car, so that might cover this for a few days.

by law you have 72 hours from the time of purchase to cover a new vehicle. So insurance should cover it. but he'll still need to call and add a policy for it.

Hmm, seems a little fishy to me. Was it a private party sale or from a dealer?

This ad was posted 6/30 but should offer a little info about the bike.

That's the bike. And private party.

If we assume it was stolen by the seller, how would they have known where to find it?

Hope so, and hope full coverage incl. comprehensive/theft. That's the first thing ANYONE should do the SAME DAY you buy any new or used vehicle.

Where in Boulder exactly was it stolen from?

If he filled out a bill of sale he put his address on it.. Might have even gotten it off the title. Other wise maybe he followed him

In a buyer position I've never put my address on a bill of sale or title.

Was it hidden inside his garage, or out on the street, or a parking lot?

    Re: *** STOLEN TRIUMPH ***

Well, his address is FoCo. The bike was left at a friend's place, at Baseline/foothills. So the only option would have been to follow us. Which seems unlikely, as his truck was a full size Chevy with a plow package on it. While not out of the question, I think in this instance unlikely. Though can't rule anything out.

In a parking lot, between a Crown Vic and a fenced in dumpster. With only inches to spare on either side(the Vic was scratched up a bit from removal). So it's not like it was highly visible. One would have had to have seen it head on to notice it, as it was hidden on either side.

If you are implying that the friend did something with it, he didn't. Of that I can assure you, 100%.

This bike was posted on AWD pirates because I wanted to look at it but the whole repainted thing turned me off.

What did he pay for it? Just curious

Sucks about the bike... Someone's a candidate for the "he needed killin'" law.

Looks like the bike has been located! In the apartment complex next to the complex it was stolen from, no less! My friend is there with the police as I type this.
