Anyone know a paint shop?

I've called a bunch of shops for quotes, but not sure if the places are good or not. If anyone has good or bad experiences with a shop that does motorcycle paint please let me know. Seems like the best place (quality/price) is Chipmagic, but the owner was a bit rude when I asked him how the quoted price was generated (labor/parts cost).

I've also been suggested to buy a new tank and sand/prime the old and sell it, or something of the sort.

Im buddies with concours collision center I know the painter and the owner they did the clear on my 1198 fairings came out good and at a fair price Jeff Kaup is the owner and they are a very honest shop give them a ring 303 781 3787

+1 for chip magic. Bought a used, beat up seat cowl and the guys fixed it up quick and got it looking great. Price was reasonable, service was quick

clean off the bubbled paint and just primer shoot it "spray can" not much will happen if you dont do anything primer will just help fight rust,

had a friend get the same problem we just scratched back the paint to the point it wasn't pealing and then just taped off primed it with spray paint and stuck a vinyl wrap over the top

is that from gas??

if you dont want to paint it right away, i would peel the bad part off, tape it off, and clear coat the bare metal. go to a sign shop and get a couple square feet of 3M black vinyl, lay it on then cut maybe around the top contour of the tank or any shape that makes sense with excacto knife.

or measure the bad spot at its widest diameter and have the sign shop cut you a round piece that diameter. then just cut around gas cap with less chance of causing anymore scratches.
