Kinda funny. Thats like telling your boss "FU, you can't fire me. I QUIT!"
Wonder where he is gonna end up.
San Carlo Honda is my guess
If he didn't announce this, was the assumption that Dovi's ride was going to be a 3rd factory bike?
I wish Ben had a different attitude
Also for the 1000th time, I want Cal

I think Kawi's doing just fine in WSBK... No need to dump money in GP.
Last weekend's races were a knock down, drag out fight between Kawi and BMW...

I kinda agree with mcarthd26. It's one thing or another with Ben regarding his performance this year. Dovi deserves the seat. Maybe Yamaha made a decision after Dovi's ultimatum statement last week? Either way, I think Ben needs to go to a non-factory team and build his confidence before returning to the forefront.

Crazy. I hope he is able to stay in GP but I dont know where he is thinking of possibly moving to. I believe he has good offers from WSBK...and that would be awesome to seee him battling with the guys in that series. Maybe he'll stay with a Satellite then bump up to head the Suzuki effort once they return? With the way things seem to be pointing Cal is likely to not have a factory seat( stay with Tech 3 in Dovi's Spot?). Dovi on the factory Yamaha(?) will be a threat. Nicky seems likely to stick with Ducati (yeah!) and who still knows about Rossi? Laguna will be huge. I'm a little jealous to all those who are going. Eat some Calamari and stare at some exceptionally nice bikes while partying on Cannery Row for me will you?

Isn't suzuki returning to GP next year? Maybe back on a Suzuki?
Thngs that make you go.....F#CK! Well, wherever spies lands, I hope he does well. I know he has it in him, dunno what's up with Yamaha....

Maybe the stuff that's going on at Yamaha is similar to the stuff at Honda when Nicky rode for them. Nicky started taking huge knocks from fans and fellow riders and had to do something. He ponied up and won the championship( no matter how many races he won or not...he still kicked ass). Unfortunately Spies has been under the gun and unable to perform while Satellite bikes are routinely finishing ahead of him. Mix that with open criticism from hungry riders who are finishing higher and there is not much Yamaha can do? IMO.

Good point. My dad thinks he will go to Suzuki, for reasons being he was supposed to take a Suzuki slot when he first entered the GP. But that postition was kept by Capirossi, which in turn led to Spies move to Yamaha. Now that Spies is Leaving Yamaha, and mentioning that he's going to miss working with certain people at Yamaha, and tweeting "nothing changes except to be back were we are meant to be!" it seems feasible that he will join Suzuki once again.

Is Suzuki "Officially" returning to MotoGP, or is it just a rumor? Because yes, he ran a few wildcard spots for them. It would be a great way for them to get back in the game. Besides, I miss the Rizla girls...
^ Me toooooo !
Too bad they pulled out, their bike (frame) was just starting to work well.

1st; ah the Rizla girls- add 3 for the zuk comeback in gp!
(bit of talk about an inline 4 for that bike, intersting)
2nd; man i love Ben but, quit a factory GP team!!? really? thats not good enough? after a season and a half?
wow Ben, thats either really ballsy, or really......
I believe it will be either on a factory Suzi in World Superbike or on the new Suzi MotoGP bike. When he mentioned in his tweet: "nothing changes except to be back were we are meant to be" I firmly believe he was dropping a big hint about returning to Suzuki.
I would bet kawasakirob's next paycheck on it.
