I'd be willing to put money on it that the Ford pickup turned left in front of the cop.

The roads were shut for a few hours right outside my neighborhood. From the pictures on TV last night, it LOOKED like the pickup was attempting to turn left onto the steep driveway of Phelan Gardens.

But at this time, no official word on the scenario.

    RIP, Officer Tyner.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."

Too much of this lately, an off-duty officer on his way home from a shift (Saturday, 6:50 AM) in suburban DFW was killed by a drunk driver who turned left in front of him. He was a member on the Texas MC forum that I am on. He was 24 years old and is survived by his wife and three children, the oldest of which is 5 years old.
