Uses:
Collaborative sharing of GoPro video's for editing purposes.
Uploading your own video's as storage/backup.
Requirements:
A video without audio that will be flagged by YouTube.
A nice Upload/Download speed is a plus.
End Product:
A download of the original video that has been compressed but still has the original pixel count.
Guide:
Step 1 - Upload
Navigate to "YouTube.com"
Click "Upload" (Assuming you already have a YouTube account)
Click "Select files from your computer" and select the GoPro videos you want to upload/share
Click "Open" and your videos will begin to upload
Step 2 - Share
Change video settings and info as needed
Change "Licence and rights ownership" to "Creative Commons - Attribution" from "Standard YouTube Licence" (This is important to give others the right to download)
Wait for video to process
Step 3 - Download
Navigate to the video you want to download from any YouTube account
Click "Remix this Video!" Located under the view count
Change "Project name" in the top right corner
Click "Publish"
Wait for video to process
Watch the video you want to download and insure that it's highest resolution is available before continuing to the next step. Refresh the page if needed.
Click "Video Manager"
Click the down arrow the the right of "edit" on the video you want to download
Click "Download MP4"
Downfalls:
It seems that youtube stops you from downloading MP4s at some point, dont know when though.
