    I F'n knew it!

Don't remember if I said it in this thread but I know I said it on Adv; it'll be a matter of time before we're forced to pay $100/mo for the Internet bandwidth we currently use. I wasn't sure how that was going to come about but now I see the roadmap.

Finally dropped cable, went with Century link for internet only. Couldn't be happier and I now have a few more bucks in my pocket. Hulu and Netflix fill the TV void. Feels good to be rid of Comcast, terrible customer service!

Yea, we're thinking of cutting ties with Comcast too, horrible all around, hidden fees and just crap programming anyways. Waste of money.

Aereo is pretty damn awesome, Ive been using it since it released, and have not had any issues running it from my Roku 2. Cutting the cord has been pretty damn awesome, We kind of cheat though, by running a small media PC to our living room tv, and using someone elses comcast login, to stream

How is Aereo different then Hulu? Same thing? We've got Hulu and really like it.

Our bundle package expired with Comcast and the billed jumped to $207 month.
I could buy another harley with that money so time to cut back.....again, its like a game

We are bandwidth hogs so my 2 choices are DSL or Cable, for now we are keeping cable to get our internet from Comcast.
The internet package is called Blast, up to 50mbps $65month, no GB cap, no contract.
    modem is $8 month
    still looking for alternatives.....

    We have 3 TVs
here is what we are using to watch
Netflix $8month, had this for years now
Aereo $8 month, new service to Colorado, works great so far
NHL streaming $11.60month, only for hockey season.. so far so good
we might add Hulu+ which would add $8 month
    total= $36max

    Family room.
    Roku 3 $80 ebay

    Kids play room
    Xbox already had

    Bedroom
Roku LT $40 refurbished same 90day warranty

So now at home my bill is $109 max
we dont have Hulu yet and may never
hockey is only half the year too
$130 for 2 Rokus and some cables
we are basically paying for internet now $73 and $16 for Netflix/Aereo
and I'm paying about a dollar per Avs game

I'm working on making the switch at my Parents house and at the shop....
the Mohu antenna and the old in the attic style are giving me a hard time..
    stay tuned :-)

Can you stream Avs games live or do the blackouts take effect? It really pisses me off that I have to get a high end TV package for avalanche games. I want to watch 3 things on tv. Avalanche, Broncos and Sportscenter. On average, I'd say 3 hours of TV per week if I had altitude and sports center. Since I don't, its more like 60 hours per year of Broncos games and that's it. It's not worth paying $60 / month or more for Avs and SC.

I currently stream the TV shows that I do watch, so TV is not worth more than a few dollars per month.

If you want the olympics, use something like unotelly to get a different DNS (make your computer look like it's in the UK). Then go to BBC. They have 6 live streams at all times covering every single event.

How to Watch the Olympics Online

This is a good website for ways of watching the Olympics.
But it also shows you how to trick your browser into being able to watch other countries television networks like you we living there.
They are not tied to cable companies and I'm finding far better programming all for free.
