    Indy MotoGP (Spoiler)

I'm really ticked off. Dorna is incompetent to be in charge of the best motorcycle riders in the world. There is no way that Indianapolis is suitable for modern MotoGP bikes, but Dorna is willing to injure or kill riders for a buck. Nicky Hayden was knocked unconscious and Hector Barbera broke his back and then moved like a sack of potatoes onto the stretcher without thought of preventing further injury. The track isn't designed for motorcycles. Miller Motorsports Park would be a better place for the second American MotoGP and I'm sure there are other good choices. Heck, it sounds like HPR would be better than Indy.

Big time bummer. There has been complaints about traction there before but this was weird. Crutchlow has his own thoughts on the high sides which make sense. Big Kudos to Stoner for riding today with a fractured right ankle and torn ligaments. Stoner has grit. He got launched. I felt really bad for Spies when his engine let go. Pretty surprised he kept his composure during the short time they talked with him afterwords.Did anyone see the onboard footage of Spies engine letting go and the complete lack of visibility while heading into turn one? Hayden, get well soon. Hope your hand heals up fast. Weird weekend

Isn't this the last year at Indy anyways? Next year should be at the track in Austin.

The infield course at Indy has only been once this year for racing (prior to MotoGP). Other than MotoGP, there's no real competition on it ever, so it's as green as green can get.

Also, from what the world feed was saying, there was some pretty decent rain earlier in the week. If you noticed, by the time GP raced on Sunday, there was a decent amount of rubber on the track and not nearly the same problems they had during qualifying.
Do not put off living the life you dream of. Next year may never come. If we are always waiting for something to change...
Retirement, the kids to leave home, the weather or the economy, that's not living. That's waiting!
Waiting will only leaves us with unrealized dreams and empty wishes.

Nicky looked a bit woozy still during the interview they did during the Moto2 race. He took a pretty good spill, hopefully his hand heals back up with no permanent damage.

Spies... man, that guy has had the worst luck this year. Blown motor, broken swingarm, illness / food poisoning, chunked tire, a visor issue in the rain, broken subframe... hopefully he can get out of this season in one piece and start having some fun at whatever he does next. He's not the most affable guy in the paddock perhaps, but I can't help feel for the dude.

Pedrosa rode a great race. With plenty of races left, the championship is definitely up for grabs.

Yeah I just noticed that. I didn't think Pedrosa was that close to Lorenzo. Interesting.

He really seems to have mellowed out and I think it's paying off for him. Time has a way of doing that to us. When you're young and full of piss and vinegar, you want to take on the world head-on. And after you get beaten down a few times, you learn to be smarter about the battles. You learn to compete with the end goal in mind, rather than what is immediately in front of you. Once Lorenzo did that, he went to the top. I think Dani is poised to do the same.

The laws of necessity, of self- preservation, of saving our country when in danger, are of higher obligation. To lose our country by a scrupulous adherence to written law would be to lose the law itself, with life, liberty, property, and all those who are enjoying them with us; thus absurdly sacrificing the end to the means."
