Only consolation I can offer you is that I'm currently Beta testing their 2nd gen mount and trust me when I say it's more solid and offers greater maneuverability...
    Sorry to hear that man.

Sorry to hear you list your mount.

If you get a replacement, I'd recommend getting a ram mount.

i had it attached with the curved mount thing that you slide the bottom arm of the case thing into and the fucker slid out and hung up on the brake line and scratched the shit out of my fender before slipping out. the weird thing is that it seems like that when it fell out i would have railed it with my rear tire and i never felt anything. im glad to cuz that could have fucked my shit up if i was going fast enough

This is exactly why I fashioned safety wires for my GoPro. At all mounting locations, I made safety wires out of picture frame wire and shrink tubing and then I zip tie them to the camera housing. I even have one for my helmet mount (zip tied to the mount for my Q2). It was an easy project and it keeps me from having to worry about my camera taking a dive. If anyone else has not done this, I would recommend it. But sorry you lost your GoPro man, thats a quick way to ruin your mood after a ride.

One thing the Army has taught me is to "dummy-cord" anything of value that I don't want to lose.

Zip-ties, 550-cord/para cord, wire are all your friends.

That and perhaps dont attach it to the fender that moves up and down with every pebble on the road. Fairing, frame, not the movong parts of the suspension. I dont think the video would be much good either.

Dude that sucks! I use the suction cup mount on my lower fairing and has held up well until I lowsided and thats when it popped off, other than that the suction seems to work good!

well i wouldnt have if, the previous owner of the bike had placed it there. i figured if it can do well sitting on top of my motocross helmet it would be ok on the fender.

My buddy works in Alaska, helping egg salmon.

He set up his GoPro to take video of the process, and a Grizzly decided to see if it tasted good. Here is a still from the video. Camera survived, and case has some good chunks out of it
