    Performance chains

Are "Performance Chains" worth it? They claim double the lifespan and better overall performance over an OEM chain. True or BS?

Now I'm not questioning your knowledge or experience, but I'd like to know why, and what they offer over OEM. I'm the first to spend top dollar on a top dollar piece, I just need to know it offers real advantages over the OEM component. I read their website in-depth, and it sounds good of course. But for someone who rides their bike (Absolutely no racing), are they worth the expense?

100% happy with the Sidewinder chain/sprocket set I've got on my FZR. I've adjusted the chain just once (and barely) over 6,371 miles of riding. Even after riding in the rain it doesn't stretch. Their chain lube is great too.

What OEM chain are you going to buy? All the chains I ever saw on new bikes were endless...

...I guess if you really wanted to pull your swingarm you could...

    I didn't know they were endless. I guess I mean a cheap-ish replacement.

Here is some good info from DID: http://www.didchain.com/streetChains.html

I have had the DID Gold X-Ring on my S1000 and I adjusted it once after about 500 miles. 10,000 miles later it is still good to go.

Buy the x/w/Z ring of the brand of your choice. <$100 ain't worth the savings. Also, steel sprockets.
