    Question Need recommendations for repair

Hey everyone, it has been awhile since I've visited CSC. I have been on and off the bike all summer due to a constant flow of repairs/set-backs. I have managed to put nearly 9000 miles on it so far though She has new tread, oil, and a tune-up as of last night and runs as good as ever but I am now in need of a new chain, I have "squeezed" as much life out of it as possible. What is a cheaper route (i.e. website or salvaged) that you would recommend? Someone mentioned Imperial Sportbikes...

Get a new chain and new sprockets at the same time. These parts wear together and replacing one or the other simply results in a shorter life for both.

A good, basic O Ring chain from DID, RK or EK will be in the 100-120 range with sprockets in the 100 range for the pair. If it's for street riding only I strongly recommend that you use steel sprockets on both ends. Sure the AL rear sprocket is lighter, but it doesn't last as long.

When you get the new chain clean the packing grease off of it before installing it using some WD40 or Kerosene. I prefer rivet master links to the clip type, but that's more personal choice than anything else.

    Good luck!

Shop the internets. You can easily get two steel sprockets and a good o ring chain for under 100 shipped.
