Talking Trick Bits for the Pani

Very excited! Been waiting to save up for some stuff. Still waiting for Akra to release their pipe (thus the smog plates for tuning), maybe an Xmas present? Anyway...

I just ordered them, they ship from Italy... waiting sucks! Also changed my order Lightech cap and block offs!

I shop at pjsparts.com so much they always throw me a great discount and free shipping, save several hundred dollars every time.

Are you changing the mirror location? If so, what do you have on there?

Likely will be a bar-end in the future. But for now I'm going to ride dirty; I like the race look. I've done it before and it doesn't really bother me.

Later I would like to do the integrated tail light mod, bar end signals and mirrors. But this will be a pretty penny, so I have to draw the line somewhere for now.

    Got most of it:

Rearsets were rough and I had to do some drilling and cut the Euro plate mount for US plates. I'm tired so I'm finishing the wiring tomorrow. Smog plates and pressure banjo fitting for light tomorrow as well.

I about shit myself when I torqued a head off (on the cylinder head) putting my smog plates on. Almost went into cardiac arrest! But I'm smart, so I hammered a tiny socket onto the stud and ratcheted it off.

I don't even know what you mean. I assume, be more careful? Italians use cheap steel for their bolts. Rizoma, Lightech, and evidently Ducati. I also elected to cap the rear brake switch and not put the banjo switch on.

I had to buy a new water pump housing when I torqued the drain bolt as well lol. On my CBR600RR...

PS I've noticed little wet spots, but nothing crazy. Built like a Ducati.

You're using a torque wrench on a small drain bolt?

Done for now, waiting for next shipment. This bike is really straining my spare bolt bin.

I think the KTM is a better race bike, bike period (being a racebike aside ), and it is completely paid off sooooo...

On a side note, I was too busy finishing I missed my dentist appointment. I'm pretty sure I get in big trouble for that lol...
