    New Drag bike Project

Well finished the race season with only 1 win at Julesburg with a best run of 9.7 at 143.1 mph in colorado with the bike pulling 186 HP on the Dyno. Had options on building a big 1441cc motor, building a nitrous motor or doing a turbo bike for next race season. Decided to build a turbo bike. The Stage one Turbo kit is coming from Canada from RCC Turbos who are providing a partial sponsership helping with expenses and will make 250 Horsepower still on pump gas and only having to run 6lbs of boost. This should propell the bike into the low 9's or high 8's at 160-170 mph in the 1/4 mile. Great thing about this turbo kit is its easily upgradable to 400 HP with just turning up the boost to 12lbs and minor engine mods.

Well got the turbo on the new drag bike and made some pulls on the Dyno. So far the bike made 281 HP with 159lbs of torque and Quik Cycles have more tuning to do.

Curious, how much did that turbo set you back?

I got a break on this kit as I worked out a deal to list them as a sponsor and run their decals on the bike. You can get turbo kits for under $2k and go up from there to around $10k. You want to get a good quality kit that is easy to increase the boost on and has a external waste gate.
