House was ransacked today, be on the lookout

Stolen AR15 S&W M&P 15, with CMMG quad rail black floating bull barrel, Dust cover has "infidel" etched on the inside. Red dot.

    S&W M&P 15-22 stock with red dot

Glock 27 with lone wolf barrel.

    Hipoint 9mm

And this is the heart breaker Bond arms Texas defender 45LC/410 with my initials as the serial number.

    Sucks

I know this is a long shot but the AR and the derringer are one of a kind.

    +1

IIRC, something like 80% or more of robberies are committed by someone you know. (Same thing with rape, ironically enough) You have any teenage kids?

Man... So sorry to hear about that. Hopefully they'll mess up and get caught, and you can get some of your things back. That sucks.

I would just call around all the local ones in a 50-75 mile radius. Also most pawn shops (at least in my area - thornton) carry firearms

Hope you get them back and who ever stole them is found!

I would install mine in a basement closet and bolt it down. I also have a security system. I doubt that most thieves would want to deal with all that.

Re: House was ransacked today, be on the lookout

Unfortunately, like others have stated, residential burglaries are almost an epidemic right now. And solving the cases is quite difficult, even though most victims know the offender. Gun safes will prevent the guns from getting taken in 99.9% of cases. Once entry has been made, they take things of opportunity. And the burglars are conscious of time spent in the house. A bolted down gun safe is the best thing you can do for the safety of everyone.

As for everything else, record serial numbers! I have the SN's of everything in my house of value written down in several locations on several hard drives (Including my work hard drives!). In my city, if you report your laptop stolen and give us a SN, it will flag whenever someone pawns it. The next day you get your laptop back, and we get an ID of the person who pawned it. Having the SN of your computers/TV/guns on file increases the chances of catching the suspects by 80%.
