    Re: Fair Punishment?

In this day and age when parents blame everything and everyone else for their childs misgivings, I have to say that is a great punishment. Embarrassment cures alot of bad habits.

    Re: Fair Punishment?

The pictures are gone now but I though hard about what they were trying to convay. I think the mother was saying the father was wrongly punished and that the father was as innocent as the child, thus throw the child in jail as well because he deserved to be in prision as much as the father?

or it could mean the child is a criminal and steals just so he can be with his father?

or it could mean he thinks prison is a better place than where he is at now?

or it could mean even though we speak the same language, we live on different planets.

It is another one of those things that make you go hmm.

Rich, you are overanalyzing this. It simply means, he was caught stealing. His mother chose a punishment that would get his attention and keep him from doing it again. The dad refrence has two meanings. One, don't end up like dad, she's not proud of that. And dad is a deadbeat and mom has to do both parenting jobs.

Your right. I wasn't thinking that the mother was punishing the son.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Worse off, it leads to KingDoug doing Psych 101 for you, and that is just a slippery slope.
