Indoor minis on a kart track anywhere?

In virginia we had a deal with an indoor kart track:

During the winter, once a month we had a "track day" on 150cc or less. Full gear required, 4-stroke only

Anyone ever look into doing this? I think I started a thread here like 2 years ago and there was nothing

It was a shitload of fun and kept a lot of racers entertained during the cold months

I'll ask tonight at speedraceway when I go and see what we can work out.

Maybe I'm missing something but do the people on the CSC do kart days like at an indoor raceway like K1 or whatever? That would be a fun meet to hang and do a kart race day.

Usually Scer puts on a race at Unser, he told me that he'd be doing another one this year too.

Awesome, as I have never done it but would like to go if someone is putting an event on. Back in Los Angeles all the car clubs I was involved in used to do these events and I never got to partake.

You can race at Unser any time against random people, but if you're looking for an event, Oscar and Sol Performance does something like this.

So revival of this thread as I went to the indoor karting place last night. So I spoke with the shift manager before leaving and he said he'd run it by the owner and see what he said. He said that gasoline pocket rockets were a long shot because of fumes and fluid spills but that electric ones have more of a chance to be doable. He is supposed to e-mail me within the next week and I'll get back to you fegs on this

I don't think i've ever seen an electric one other than a scooter. If the place has big bay doors we should be able to open them. Where were u, the indoor centennial one?

Yea, speedraceway. I think they're more worried about spills in case of a crash and such plus it all depends on zoning issues in case of fire etc.

Makes sense for Speed Raceway, as their karts are electric. Might get further with Unser as their karts are gas.

I can see the concern for sure. When you talk to them, try to put them at ease concerning crashes. It's really not often that people crack a case open on a mini dirtbike, especially with low speeds and a slick floor.
