    WSBK TV coverage

Anyone have any idea how to get some wsbk race coverage? There must be a newsgroup or something somewhere to get the video after the races. Not the same as watching live but it is something.

speed might have some GP coverage at least, that would be nice.
Sucks that we have no racing coverage....I don't know of anyone covering ama superbike either.

    Re: WSBK TV coverage

It also sucks that the flash player for motogp.com doesn't have a little gray bar to indicate how much of the race has been buffered so far. (You know, kind of llike youtube or netflix?)

WSBK used to sell subscriptions through their website, but now they use youtube, sort of.

As far as SPEED is concerned, they suck. They do a crappy job of covering motorcycle road racing, but a pretty decent job of covering motocross. Why is motocross coverage possible, but asking for superbike and flat track coverage like asking for the moon?

...just my t.w.o. cents worth, but the only reason I watch speed (with out the vision) is for the motorcycle racing. just the racing aspect of motorcycles. nothing else.

If they were not part of our dishnet package, I wouldn't even bother.

..if only there were an ESPN alternate channel that covered AMA, BSB, TT races like NW200 and IOM TT, WSBK (all of it) and ALL of MotoGP.

...but that day will never come.

I know people that dont subscribe to comcast should have access to Speed2. It's a website that lets you access races. I don't know if speed's announcement concerning sbk will change their internet coverage as well or not

I usually plunk down the money to stream GP, but I get all of my WSBK/BSB/F1 from www.racingfor.me. Unfortunately, it is an invite only site and I do not have any invitations left.

How am I gonna see Sykes win the championship for Kawasaki?

    What is this
"Speed is undergoing dramatic change in 2013 as it morphs from an all-motorsports network into a Fox-branded multi-sport network which will try to leverage NASCAR and mainstream sporting events so that it can do battle with ESPN."

Bearcat RR - You are about to be the most sought after person on this board.

What must we (the supplicants) do to deserve your consideration for an invite?

What gets me is that they want to try and compete with ESPN for the "mainstream" sports. Nothing like looped Soccer and basketball highlights thrown in with a NASCAR race. Come on!!

I'm sure you will be able to download quality torrents, way better than steaming.

The site has been around for years (used to be racingunderground.com) and they try to keep the number of members at a somewhat reasonable level. The biggest thing is that it is very important to keep your ratio up...you always want to upload more than you download. I can make a donation and get some invites from them, but if I were to get you an invite, you must keep your ratio up as I have been burned by some people that I get invites for and all they ever do is download and never seed their torrents. I do not want to ever take a chance of loosing my membership there. I get one invite for every 5 euro (~$6.68 ) that I donate.

Sounds like I can just use a torrent search engine and find torrents of races....I think that is the future of watching motorcycle racing.

    Re: WSBK TV coverage

From what I'm reading the WSBK testing hasn't gone to well at Phillip Island. Lots of crashes. Both Kawasaki riders when down-Sykes a broken wrist, Both Ducati riders out for seperate reasons, and Leon Camier totaled his bike with a 140mph crash that totaled his bike. Good thing is everyone should be able to race at the opening round.

Hope Sykes will heal up quickly and be ready for battle

    Re: WSBK TV coverage

With all the brits in wsbk it's almost like watching the bsb (minus john hopkins)

...actually, it might have been more interesting watching the phillip island crash fest than watching testing in sepang. I guess we will never know.

Just a bit more info regarding bein sports:

    Directv: channel 620
    Dish Network: channel 392

...and here's a link with additional info on MotoGP and WSBK coverage...

    http://roadracingworld.com/news/article/?article=50889

"World Superbike races at Phillip Island will be televised live on beIN Sport TV beginning at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time (not the 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time listed on the programming guide at www.beinsport.tv) Saturday, February 23. For those who do not have access to beIN Sport TV, the races will also be shown via live streaming video on www.beinsport.tv. And contrary to what is stated in the FAQ (frequent asked questions) section on www.beinsport.com, network spokesmen have twice confirmed that no special login will be required to watch this coming weekend’s races via live streaming video."

Wow, that's awesome. We'll be able to watch this weekend even if we don't have that channel. If the coverage is good, I'll definitely have to add it to my tv plan
