Department Information: Libraries Information Technology (LIT) provides services and support for a broad range of information technology (IT) activities for the University Libraries. The department works in close partnership with all other Libraries units, the Office of Information Technology and University Information Systems, and a broad array of third-party vendors. The LIT department centralizes IT infrastructure and related services including IT strategy, webmaster functions, web development, coordination and support of digital user experience testing, digitization services, audio-visual media production, and IT support of libraries operations, new libraries service initiatives, and libraries faculty research. Services critical to the instructional and research missions of the University are provided 24/7/365 to the entire campus community as well as to all citizens of Colorado and Wyoming in keeping with the campus’s participation in the federal depository program.

Job Responsibilities: As part of the Desktop Support team, this position will perform the ITIL role of Incident Manager and 1st & 2nd level Service request support for Libraries faculty and staff. This position manages internal Libraries technology support help desk, is the initial contact point for computer support for Libraries staff, and supervises student technicians who respond to tickets. This position installs, configures, and supports new hardware and application software programs to maintain Libraries information delivery and allow internal departments to function at optimal levels. Responds to emergency outages of the libraries’ critical systems.

Salary and Benefits:
$3914.40/Month Pay Grade H83

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with at least an associate’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology and two years of experience as a help-desk technician, user support technician.

Preferred Qualifications:
Dell, HP and MS Certifications; experience in tech support on CU campus or another academic environment; skilled using PowerShell
