SCR Thursday (9/15) $30

I have a lapper card that I have not used and this Thursday is looking to be my last chance this year to get to SCR.

I'll be down there around noon and staying till Bob kicks me out.

First come, first served for two punches on my card.
It looks like I have a taker already for the third spot, but if he backs out, then I'll have three.

Anybody, Bueler?

Give me $30 a spot. Or if I really like you, we can work something out.

And yeah, as long as bike is done thursday, I will for sure be there and wouldn't mind getting in on some of your lapper card action (wanna work something out?

Track opens at 9am most days. The 5pm thing is just bikes only. You can get there as early as you like, you just may be out there with cars (somewhat likely Thursday afternoon, since there is probably a car race this weekend). As soon as it hits 5pm or the cars go away however, it will be bike only.

It looks like I'll finally be able to join you guys. I prolly won't get there until the 5:00pm sessions though. I can't take a half day off work right now. Anyway, I'm assuming the lapper card is spoken for, so what's it cost to ride without it? Still $50?

$45 for the block, or you can buy a lapper card with a bunch of other people and get it cheaper.

And, as shocking as this sounds Richard (my husband) *might* come out to see me ride, which would be a first. Says he figures he should watch me once before I eat shit since I am so obsessed with riding/racing.

I dunno...maybe 2:30ish I hope. Kiddo has school till just before noon and we have a couple things to do between then and when I can go out to play. Will stay into evening and play with the other bikes I am sure.

This was sent to the MRA list, just wanted to give everyone a heads up.

Just an FYI if you're heading out to Second Creek this week, like for
Bike Nite on Thursday...

I was out on Tuesday morning until about noon when one of the Honda
NSX cars that we shared the track with dumped the contents of his
radiator all along the track.

The antifreeze had been tracked around the track by a couple of other
cars after that.

Be careful and check the track out before you try pushing it; I don't
know if they planned to clean the antifreeze off later this week or not...

Thanks for posting Jenny! It's been a busy day at work (since I took Tuesday off to hit Second Creek) and I haven't got around to passing the info to all the local lists.

Tuesday, about noon, one of the Honda NSXs (four wheeled devices) running at Second Creek developed a radiator leak and pretty much covered the track in antifreeze. The first indication was when the other NSX spun out doing a 360 in turn 1. Luckily, we weren't on the track at the time, or we probably would have been the ones to "discover" the problem.

We went back out and took a slow sighting lap to check out the track - you could see the gleam of antifreeze on the track in at least half the corners and through some of the straights.

The NSX pretty much coated the whole track. If you're heading out there, check with Bob ( track manager at Second Creek) and find out if they've washed it off or ground it down (?).

Regardless, take it easy out there and keep the rubber side down!

Finally have track worthy gear. I was thinking about going out to SCR for my first track day today. Been out there a couple times to scope things out. Little intimidating when I don't know anyone.

Could one of you out there show me around the track too?

I was going to show up around 4 or 5 with my naked red SV and yellow leathers. I would be down to go in on a lapper card with someone.

ok, well my bike didn't get done so I will not be out there riding. Depending on mood, weather, and how stressed my work manages to get me in the next few hours, I may still show up and watch for a couple minutes or something.
