I have a couple 80% lowers on the way, and I know it's becoming more popular (until some legislator bans that too). As such, I'll be buying the jigs to do the last 20% of the mill work (and maybe even the one to do the 0% lowers). The general idea is you use a drill press to make the holes, though a hand drill might work if you have a very steady hand.
If you're just going to build 1-2 of them though it's a bit silly to buy a bunch of tooling. Is there any interest here in renting my jigs to do your own lowers? The way it would work is I'd take a deposit for the full value up front, and refund a portion of that when I get them back. Unsure quite how much the rental cost would be, but thinking $30 or so. This would be far more economical than buying your own, and help me recoup some of the expense on my end as well.
Anyone want to do that?
