i hope you get the bike passenger to Sue that family in to poor house where they can not buy the teen a car and they can take the bus so they wont put anyone else in harms way

Quick update:
Her surgery last night went good. Her heel was also shattered and right now has a lot of metal in her foot. Planning on going in for 3rd surgery tomorrow for femur and knee.

Also Roberts funeral procession is tomorrow at 2:30 taking him to DIA (Unfortunatly Haley cannot be there due to her status). He will be loaded on a fire engine and taken to the plane. He will return home in WI where his family and is former Fire dept will welcome him back home. The Fire Dept there will give him a traditional firemans funeral service and burial.

Then next week Buckley AFB fire dept will give him a service (without body) where Haley will be able to attend.

Haley is also a little over 2 months Pregnant. The baby is doing well and looking healthy. (Didn't want to mention earlier until welfare of baby was confirmed)

I drive through that intersection a lot, my wife works at the Aspen Grove Mall and I go to visit her all the time, gives me an excuse and a purpose to ride when I have a destination and I usually ride the bike to see her. I will have to stay extra cautious at that intersection. I hope that they give some sort of ticket at least to that driver. Seems like cops always look for an excuse to write a ticket but this one is well deserved. I personally cannot stand teenage drivers. Perhaps they can suspend this kid's license until he/she is 18 or something, help them to learn the error of their ways and to watch when making a left turn. I also hate unprotected left turns. I am from Southern California and those are terrible out there people always turning when it is not safe. I also handle car accidents/injuries for a living and see things like this all the time from drivers who think it's safe to turn.

There will be a funeral procession Today at 230pm.

Will escort Robert from Aspen Mortuaries to DIA

I want everyone to know that once we get to the airport we will not be able to go into the restricted area of the runways. They will pull over at designated spot, at that time we can exit the car and the chaplin will say a few words. Then they will proceed and we depart.

They will then load him on to an engine and carry him to the plane where he will forever part from Colorado and be escorted home to his family.

A group called Biker Down was so kind to video tape the procession for Haley since she was unable to attend.

I will keep you posted. Fund raiser is for sure going to be happening.

She looks to be released Thursday at the latest.

He was the bigger part of the financial support. Also she opted out of short term disabliltilty when she did her insurance in beginning of year. Once her PTO and Vacation are gone. Then no more income. FML of course will keep job safe but no income coming in.
This also means that God willing she goes on maternity leave, it will be unpaid.

So we will do everything we can to help her stay on her feet!!

For sure, like I said anything I can personally help with I'm in. Also whoever may need side work (I work at Mike Ward Infiniti) such as tire mounting, alignments, brake jobs, etc I'd be willing to throw all the money earned from that into this pot to maximize helping funds
