Be prepared for mucho sand!!! Even though the weather will be the nicest we've had all year, there's a ton of new sand in the canyons from these last 3 snowstorms...maybe not the best thing for newbs.

I would consider going, but the sand is a bit of a concearn for me.
If anyone is going to play in the canyons I advise you take it super easy, Bear creek will be clear (as it always is) which will get you in a comfort zone thinking everything will be clear, which will not be the case.
Keep a sharp eye and keep the rubber down!

Last Sunday, I ran up to Squaw Pass (I drove up there about a month ago, no issues) but it was closed about 2 miles up from 74. Sand EVERYWHERE!!
Bear Creek was clear but elk and other small deer herds were crossing the road about every 1/2 mile and stopping traffic. As it warms up, they will move to higher elevations, but right now they can be a hazard.
Sack up small fry. Its sand, not a river of molten lava. Just slow down and enjoy the ride. Its spring brother!!!!
