    Forums back online. Please read!

    We're back!

However, that doesn't mean we didn't take a hit. Bob and I lost all of our PM's, and any post we've ever made now shows up as being written by 'Guest'. This is irreversible, unfortunately. All other posts and user accounts are like they were.

I am bringing this back online a little prematurely due to the upcoming race weekend, and class next week. It will likely go down periodically again next week, however that is good since it means some much needed upgrades.

Ask if questions, otherwise ... Fuck Don, and welcome back!

Great job in getting things up & running, Ralph - I wasn't expecting this until late next week!

The system used to attack us was in Serbia. That doesn't mean the hacker was, chances are it was a "bot" system used as a sort of proxy to hide his identity.

I'm going to try and work with the Serbian ISP involved, but I doubt they're going to release much information to me. I have my hunches on it being someone local however, so we'll see.

In a nutshell, somebody hacked into the PHPBB admin page, renamed all the categories (Club & Site, Riding, Bike Talk, The Marketplace, & Everything Else) to read "Hacked by Don !!". He also deleted Ralph's & my accounts, which automatically deleted all of our PM's, and orphaned all of our posts.

Ralph recreated our accounts, but the PM's are lost forever. As for the orhpaned posts, we would have to go through each of them (there are over 68,000 of them ) one by one and reassign them manually (there's not feature to do this). We will probably do some of them, but I don't forsee us going through all of them.

Good god I'm glad this is back up - my drama level had gotten very low.

What sucks is I had two right behind the bench tickets for the Avs - Red Wings tue that I know someone on here would have loved.

Oh well I'm just glad were back, and thanks for all the hard work to do so.

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.
