Wow - so cool! Thanks for sharing. What was the red light on your dash that came on for a couple of minutes here and there?

No sand, I think it was just a trick of the sun/clouds. I like the bottom better, too, mainly because the trees give better reference points than open sky does. Neither would be a good place to go off, though.

Engine was getting a little toasty. The thin air up high doesn't absorb as much heat from the radiator and it can be tough to keep it cool.

My entry fee was $1200. Plan on using at least two sets of tires and taking a week off of work to attend all the practice sessions the week before the race.

Pirelli slicks. SC-0 rear and SC-1 front

It varies a lot. The age of the asphalt and paint varies wildly because they paved it a bit at a time (and in no discernible order) from 2002 - 2011. Overall not too bad.

Is it ran the weekend every year and would riding/driving it help to learn it at? Doesn't sound like you get much pratice

Learning the road via riding/driving/video is absolutely key. Getting "lost" can get you a helicopter ride or worse, and it's easy to do because there are multiple sections of the road that look the same going in and end very differently.
