    Ural rider killed in FoCo

    http://www.9news.com/news/local/arti...yssey=obinsite

A family of a motorcyclist killed in an accident on a dead-end road says his death was preventable. The July 5th crash that killed 81-year-old John Gordon was just one of many accidents reported in the last five years on the Fort Collins road.
A week before the crash, a nearby business owner had complained to the Colorado Department of Transportation about the dead-end sign needing repairs.
Gordon drove through the dead-end sign and landed in the ditch.
Couple of errors in the reporting, a sad story however.

    Rest in Peace

This part of the article made me cringe though: "He had jeans. He had boots. He had gloves. He did everything to keep himself safe," Gordon's daughter Jennifer Juneau said. "He knew how to ride."

    RIP Rider.

With that said, I'm not sure how you can't tell that the road ended, or that even the sign was partially there. I'm confused

It was on the 5th and apparently it was raining pretty hard there, if the wind was pushing the sign over it might have been too late to notice.

RIP - very sad to see stuff like this on the news. The bright side of a tragedy like this is that it reminds other riders to ride safe.

don't trust road signs (or lack there of) and be ready for anything…I surprised CDOT isnt being sued over this...
