    Finally dyno'd my bike... (1199S)

So my buddy hooked me up with a free run... Sharing if anyone was curious, I know I was.

Not sure if this is good or not, I'm thinking it's not but anyway...

Outside of the little dip, looks pretty clean. A BMW S1000RR did 181 on the same machine. Will likely order Bazzaz here shortly.

So HP is one thing, but the really interesting part of a dyno run would be the AFR. With a little creativity it would probably be easy to make a bigger HP number just by changing how the bike was placed on the dyno, tire pressure etc., so I don't give much credence to the HP number alone.

Based on the layout of the engine (way over square) I would kind of expect it to be flat until larger RPM numbers, so I don't see any major problem with the chart, but again, it doesn't really tell us much. What would be really interesting would be to see that flat spot corresponded with the AFR to see if it was a fueling issue, or if it was inherent to the engine.

I imagine that's pretty good given the altitude. I saw one, also w\full termi's, do 183 near sea level.

Rybo you're right. I really want to see more info, just a free run from a buddy. There are a lot of curious people who seem to harp on the poor fueling. I would like to liven that droop up and I'll be ordering some bazzaz components to see what we can do.

    Ps

Also of note, I have a 520 kit with +2 on rear (41t).

Dynojet uses an SAE correction factor on all their dynos. See where it says SAE smoothing on the top right of his dyno sheet? It's correcting based on absolute pressure, relative humidity and air temperature. It will provide the same numbers at sea level as it would on the top of Mt. Evans, and 172hp is about right for a Panigale.
The Panigale you saw do 183hp was probably run on a dyno that they were using a STD (standard, not a disease) correction factor which uses a lower absolute air temperature and will show about 5% more power.

Very impressive numbers. I'm assuming those are corrected for sea level. We generally lose about 20-30% HP here at altitude and most dnyo jets provide a correction factor for that.

This is actually in NC. It's corrected sae standards, but would like to run it with every hooked up and not 92 outside.
