    My Battery is Dead.

I already charged it once after accidently leaving the little front parking light on (Past the wheel lock point) when the bike was new to me and i unknowingly went to far and obviously did not look to make sure it was off.

I went out today to move my bike around back because it was in the front because i was planning to ride more and that did not happen.

When i started it the first time it was normal. But because the engine was not warm, trying to choke the bike or throttle it, the bike dies. So i try to restart it and get nothing. Headlight goes out when i try to start it up. Gauges go off, etc.

So my question is. Is it worth charging or should i just get a new battery? I dont want to charge it and have this happen if i was far from home...not that it is a huge issue with this poor temp we are having. So i can charge it again and try to keep it going for a few local rides and nothing major? Or i just buy a new battery that will last me a few starts this year and i wont have to deal with it anymore and next year it will be great?

Ideas? Personal thoughts? Cost for a new battery? Thanks!!!

you should get a new battery. i bought a new one (a sealed gel unit) a while back with little BMW emblems all over it (those things cost $$$ ya know) for about $100; yours will likely be a good bit less than that.

    here are places to start

locally there are likely some good deals too. check the shops, who knows they could surprise ya.
