HO and Ridge Reamer have been suggested. Any experience with these or any others I should check out? Also, what brand rings, valve train parts and gaskets would be best? I’m more interested in durability than performance.

HO Motorsports builds powerplants for Graves Motorsports. Geoff Cesmat and Don Hough work on Yamahammer parts up in Boulder in the off season. Those fookers know all about your bike.
BTW Ridge Reamers reamed my Toyota engine and put in the wrong size rings. Developed a bad case of piston slap 20,000 miles into a rebuild ------ they did rebuild the motor for free --- reluctantly.

I know that HO does good work, but I’ve heard that their turnaround time is “forever.” And it’s way over there in the “Peoples Republic of Boulder.” Anyone know of a good machine shop in the south metro area?
