What time are you thinking of being in Golden if KSU at moco is 8?

The return trip can be done several ways. Most people, like myself, will likely take 96 to 67 to Florence and then the 115 back to the Springs. You had mentioned going all the way to Rye, and if that's the case then I suppose you'll be slabbing it back to Denver. Just so you know the North Colorado Springs I-25 corridor is under construction and is almost always backed up until just outside of Monument. So you can either brave the traffic and slab it, or retrace your steps. But I'm sure that's something that can be discussed at some point during the ride.

Turning back at Bishop's Castle: http://goo.gl/maps/SgPOs

All the way to Rye, CO: http://goo.gl/maps/xYjbV

    Bypassing Cripple Creek: http://goo.gl/maps/OOZbj
I like the turning back at Bishop's.

So with a gas stop and lunch then an hour or so at the castle we wont be heading back into town till 3-4ish?

Correct on KSU time one-ops. How many people want to just meet at MOCO and leave at 0830. If it is coffee, well I can bring my perculator or field rations with coffee or just buy a coffee for you at MOCO.

Hehehe, you guys are funny. I can keep my core warm, but something about freezing hands when it's 35-40 degrees out that makes riding undesirable. I've thought about installing heated hand-grips, and maybe investing in a set of these

Go to walgreens and get one of those quick heat packet dealies, shake one of each and stick them in your gloves. That'll last you more than enough

NOAA has always been a little better IMO and it looks a little worse then this. But hell it's tues it will change before sat.
Rocking some rubber gloves under riding gloves helps a ton too.
Ill plan to be at the moco shortly after 8 to refuel etc. to be ready for 830.
Thinking about doing breakfast before hand and thinking about doing Rudy's for dinner and maybe staying the night in manitou possibly.

During winter I rock my snowboarding gloves lol, plenty of heat. People look at me like I'm a deviant out on the road at 10-15 degrees lol

Well if weather does turn out to be bad...then we can go later or ksu later and do a different route. But yesterday the weather looked great, and we do live in Colorado. So stay tuned all.

You can still count me in. I've been checking the forecasts daily and Saturday's conditions seem to be improving with each passing day. Saturday may turn out to be much better than I supposed.

What is at 8:30? Isn't KSU for this ride at 8:00?

I'm pretty sure that the weather for this ride is going to be good if not better than...
