Thanks Generic. Your pics turned out great especially with that kind of harsh lighting. I only brought my wide angle lens with me because I mainly wanted to get shots of the castle. I do need to get a big lens too. I'll post up more pics later.

He loves the new Michelins for the bagger to btw.
He worked that bike pretty hard. A lot more effort to ride it to. Says he'll bring the Fjr next week.
a few more pics... http://www.imagebam.com/gallery/lfj5...lxvyilwf1m6g7/
Thanks lol..
should do an actual trip! I'm doing Laguna Seca for sure next year but thinking about including NorCal, possibly the PNW.. we'll see. Also planning on the dragon for late 2014.
I wanted to say thanks to Kerry for organizing and everyone who showed up. I had a really fun ride and it was great to meet the lot of you, looking forward to the next opportunity.
Work has him busy during the week but I'll let him know if he does have a weekday free.

Keep me posted on the dragon trip for sure!!
We need another a 2015 thread for this one!!
This is like my normal go-to ride. Takes about 4 hours round trip, it's actually the route I took to pack on the mIles so I could get the rpm limiter removed when I first bought my bike. But I guess it helps when you live so close.
Personally I like going from Pueblo to Florence (west), stop at the motorcycle dealer there (Though they don't really do much with sport bikes). Then south to Wetmore, out to Westcliffe where I grab lunch. Then you can either go southeast to Walsenburg or southeast to Bishops/Rye both of which put you back onto I25.
The Walsenburg route is longer by 45 miles or so, and it isn't really a sport ride, but it's jaw dropping beautiful.
Bishops ride is much more sporting, shorter, and of course includes seeing crazy man's castle.
Either way some guys can crash at my place if they wanted to make this an overnight trip. I've got plenty of room and a garage.
And if you guys crash at my place we can add in Deckers, Cripple Creek, and Skyline Road too.
Cool I'll take up on it..
If Mitch goes, I'll go.
He will of course immediately turn off the ride and go down a different road, but I will still go. =)

I rarely think of motorcycles without a little yearning. They are about moving, and humans, I think, yearn to move – it’s in our cells, in our desires. We quiet our babies with cyclic movement, and we quiet ourselves by going.

Me too....it was a good ride and a very long day...but super fun. I would do it again, but earlier in the summer.
So Aaron will you be the host/ planner for this years ride?
Yes. As soon as I see a full thread on your new bike.
Grim lead a ride?

If I get a bike this year I'm definitely in. Haven't been to Bishops yet and always wanted to go there.
