Accident with a Post office truck..

I was just in an accident on my bike with a post office truck.. I'm fine and so is she, I just have some scraps and bruising. My bike isn't too damaged either, but there's tires marks and blue paint 6 feet up the side of the truck. She pulled out in front of me (didn't see me) when I was going about 35 mph. I hit her front left side, flipped up tail over head somehow, and the bike's peg landed on my foot. That's what hurt. But besides some other scrapings and bruising, I'm alright! Couldn't get like any pics of the scene cause my phone was acting up. But here are some pics.

Last but not least, this accident was entirely her fault, I was just cruising and she pulled out in front of me. WEAR YOUR F***ING GEAR. My head smashed into the side of the truck, if I wasn't wearing a helmet (and all my other gear) who knows what would have happened. I hate seeing bikers without helmets, especially after this. It REALLY will happen to you sooner or later.

Glad you're OK. Make sure you get any lawsuit settled before the USPS goes into bankruptcy.

I was wearing my helmet, jacket, jeans, and tennis shoes. But I was lucky I was wearing tennis shoes because my foot was pinned under the bike with the peg stabbing my foot, the only way to get out was to slip my shoe off, and I couldn't have done that with boots. So that was lucky.

Yeah I'm pretty sore this morning but nothing terrible I don't think. I'm definitely calling them asap!

Thanks for the support guys, I can't believe someone actually cut me off where there was no time to get out of the way. Didn't think that would ever happen :/

Hey man, I am also a blue SV owner myself, that is sad to see that poor bike go down But anyways I am a claims adjuster for a major car insuracne company and handle injury claims like this all day. If you need help trying to figure out what to do let me know and I can walk you through the process of what you will need to do from here on out.

Glad you're ok for the most part man. Another SV rider here sad to see you go down. Was there a police report and the driver accepting responsibility for the wreck?

Glad you are ok. The thought of my ankle being pinned under a sliding motorcycle and grinding into nothing is why tennis shoes aren't an option for me.
