Let me ponder a viable route that doesn't include washed out roads - but I'm thinking Shell on W Colfax, the MoCo, or the Golden 7-11 depending on route.

UGH... it just sucks how there aren't really many or any good paved roads anywhere south/south-bound

I was thinking about going down one way and back up the other. So south from Pine Jct for one leg and back up by Reynolds park the other way. Need to meet some people in Pine around 11:30 so probably MOCO around 10:30 ??
You do realize I ride slow and it is dirt from Pine up to the Bucksnort ?

I'm not that confident in my returned skills yet - plus I already am damn close to needing new tires due to lack of tread.I was thinking about going down one way and back up the other. I'll find another route.
Maybe something like Parker Rd through to the springs up through Palmer Lake / Hwy 105... or something. I just need to get out and ride and clear my head for a few hours.

I'll be up at the moco to ride around 10 to grab some lunch in cripple creek if guys wanna join.
I think I'm going with a 11:00 MoCo KSU - then 285 to Pine to 126 to 67 to 24 then up 105 then split up to go our own ways at Santa Fe.

I may see you down at MOCO but think we may be leaving a little earlier that 11:00. I will be on a big pig Moto Guzzi Stelvio. Meets us at 10:30 and ride down to Pine anyway ??

I guess I remembered wrong. It is one mile from Pine to the Bucksnort and it is now semi paved. Lots of Harleys up there today and the place was absolutely packed. I always get a kick out of Sphinx park. Here is a picture with three houses in it. One below the bike you can just see the roof and the other two up on various level rocks.

That was the first dirt road I have ever rode on a sports bike. Later found out that we were over an hr early for the Bucksnort to open.
